Curriculum

The B.Tech curriculum is based on a core programme in basic sciences (47 credits), basic engineering (28 credits), humanities, social and creative sciences (15 credits), and enterprise sciences (10 credits).

The programme aims to provide students with:

  • A fundamental understanding of the scientific, technological, social and business environment in which they will work as practitioners.
  • Methods and skills in analytical and critical thinking, design thinking, experimental approaches, project management and communication.

Programme structure

Mahindra University École Centrale School of Engineering (MU) provides apprenticeships in collaboration with industry, with a focus on humanities, international exposure and allied education to develop a ‘whole-brain approach’ to business.

Each undergraduate programme at MU has a blended curriculum. Students are required to complete 172 credits in order to graduate.

Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech)

Eligibility criteria

Mahindra University lays out clear B.Tech admission eligibility requirements to ensure that candidates applying to the program have the appropriate academic foundation. Applicants are expected to meet the prescribed B.Tech eligibility criteria, as outlined in the section below, before submitting their application

Students under Indian category

  • Qualify in JEE (MAIN) 2026 examination and be eligible to write the JEE Advanced 2026 or top All India Rank in JEE (MAIN) 2026 examination (exact cut off rank would be displayed upon announcement of results). OR
  • A valid SAT Subject test score (which should include mathematics, physics, chemistry) – minimum 1800. OR
  • A valid SAT test score (Min. 800). OR
  • A valid ACT score (Min. composite score 18)

Note: Students getting admitted through JEE / SAT / ACT mode need to have 60% or equivalent grade in 10+2 from any statutory board

Students under POI/NRI category

  • 10+2 or equivalent from any statutory board with 80% OR equivalent grade for the students from IB or other approved boards.
  • Students with valid SAT Scores will also be considered for admission (however these scores are not mandatory)

Followed by Panel Interview for Shortlisted candidates

For the BBA (Applied Economics & Finance) and BBA (Computational Business Analytics) programmes, Mathematics as a subject is mandatory in the 12th grade.

Important: All applicants to UG programmes who have completed Class 12 under IB, Cambridge, or any other international curriculum must submit a UGC Equivalence Certificate by 30 August 2026. Failure to do so will result in automatic cancellation of admission.

For biotechnology programme:

For Biotechnology, Computational Biology and 5 Yr. Integrated M.Tech -Biotechnology Programmes:

  •  Candidates having studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in 12th grade are also eligible for admission into these programmes based on their 12th grade PCB scores.
  • Both Indian & NRI / PIO category students seeking admission based on SAT/ACT scores will have to undergo a technical & aptitude-based interview for final selection for the programme

Bachelor of Legislative Law (LLB)

Eligibility criteria

Mahindra University sets forth well-defined 3 year LL.B. eligibility requirements to ensure that candidates admitted to the LL.B. (Hons.) programme possess the necessary academic background. Candidates are expected to fulfill the prescribed LLB eligibility criteria, as detailed in the section below, prior to applying.

  • Candidates should have graduated with a full-time degree from any recognized university/institute with a minimum aggregate of 60% or equivalent grade in any discipline/subject.
  • Candidates appearing for their final semester exam in the current year are also eligible to apply.
  • Valid CLAT ( PG ) 2025 examination score (exact cut off score / all India rank would be announced upon announcement of results) OR
  • A valid LSAT ( PG ) Test Score
  • Panel interview for shortlisted candidates
